2006

08.05 The Extraordinary General Meeting of the WSE appointed Ludwik Sobolewski as President of the Management Board. Ludwik Sobolewski succeeded Wiesław Rozłucki, the WSE President since its first days.
25.08 Structured products were first quoted. The first products of this kind were structured bonds issued by Deutsche Bank AG London.
17.08 Astarta Holding N.V., the first company from Ukraine, made its debut on the WSE.
01.09 New ticks introduced for the listed instruments.. Among others, the new tick of PLN 0.01 was introduced for all shares priced up to PLN 50.
10.10 The WSE welcomed the first Slovak company on the trading floor: Asseco Slovakia.
25.10 CEZ, the largest company in the Czech Republic and in Central and Eastern Europe was first quoted on the WSE.
15.11 Contract was signed with the first WSE IPO Partner: E-volution Capital, a brokerage house from Kiev, Ukraine.
20.12 For the first time in the history of the Warsaw Stock Exchange two companies made their WSE debut on the same day (Monnari Trade and CEDC).

2007

18-19.01 The first edition of the Central & Eastern European Market Forum took place. This event is intended for investors, companies and other institutions associated with the stock market.
16.03 New rules for computing and qualifying companies to indices came into force. The previous MIDWIG index was replaced by the mWIG40, and the WIRR superseded by the sWIG80
01.04 Segmentation of listed companies was modified and three segments of equities were introduced: 5 PLUS, 50 PLUS and 250 PLUS. The segment labelled 5 PLUS includes shares in companies with a capitalisation of under EUR 50 million; 50 PLUS covers companies with a capitalisation between EUR 50 and 250 million whereas capitalisation of over EUR 250 million puts companies into the segment called 250 PLUS.
09.05 A new online service, designed by the WSE and the Polish Press Agency, was launched at www.WSEInfoSpace.eu. WSEInfoSpace is a business news site with information on Polish and foreign companies listed on the WSE, providing news from markets in Central and Eastern Europe.
30.08 NewConnect, a new market, organised and operated by the WSE, was launched. NewConnect is designed to finance start-ups and new companies with a high growth potential.
12.10 The Warsaw Stock Exchange became a shareholder of the Sibiu Monetary Financial and Commodities Exchange, Sibex (Bursa Monetar Financiara si de Marfuri; Sibiu, Romania).
20.12 UniCredit, an Italian company and the largest bank in Central and Eastern Europe, made its debut on the WSE, becoming the largest company listed on the Warsaw bourse.

2008

25.06 Opening of the WSE's representation office in the capital of Ukraine - Kiev. The WSE representation is an information centre for prospective issuers and investors in Ukraine interested to raise or invest capital on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
10.07 Closing of WSE's acquisition of 25% of shares of the Ukrainian stock exchange INNEX.
July Launch of the Liquidity Support Programme. The Programme was conceived for those companies whose stock is traded at a low liquidity level according to the WSE criteria.
01.09 Change in the trading session schedule. As of 1 September, trading sessions start at 9:00 a.m. on the equities market (continuous trading) and at 8:30 on the derivative instruments market.

2009

11.03 Acquisition by the WSE of 61.31 percent of shares of MTS CeTO. WSE holds 92.47 percent of the share capital of MTS-CeTO.
30.09 CATALYST - the first organized market in debt securities in Poland and a unique such market in Central and Eastern Europe
