The Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) operates based on the Act on Trading in Financial Instruments of July 29, 2005 under the supervision of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (www.knf.gov.pl).
The Warsaw Stock Exchange is a joint-stock company established by the State Treasury. The share capital of the Company amounts to PLN 41,972,000 and is divided into 15,185,470 series A preferred registered shares and 26,786,530 series B ordinary bearer shares with a nominal value of PLN 1 per share.
The State Treasury holds 14,688,470 shares of the Company, representing a 35.00% stake in the share capital of the Company, which constitutes 29,376,940 voting rights, representing 51.40% of the total vote. It is the only shareholder holding a stake greater than 5% of the total vote within the meaning of Article 22.5 of the Act on Trading in Financial Instruments dated 29 July 2005 (as amended).
