WSE IPO Partners
The Warsaw Stock Exchange has been actively pursuing the concept of turning Warsaw into a trading centre for equities issued by foreign companies, particularly those from Central and Eastern Europe. Those efforts resulted not only in foreign debuts at the WSE but have stimulated increasing interest in the Polish market among foreign entities engaging in brokerage operations (pursuant to the legislation of their country of domicile) or in other financial and investment-related operations. Their role of providing sales and promotional support for the WSE is now epitomised in the new partner programme, launched in mid-November 2006 under the name of WSE IPO Partner.
The programme provides tangible benefits for both the WSE and its IPO Partners. The WSE obtains active support from local players on foreign markets who promote the Warsaw Stock Exchange and select companies interested in attracting capital through the WSE trading floor.
To join the program, interested entity shall sign with the Exchange the cooperation agreement and shall file the application for granting WSE IPO Partner title. Granting the WSE IPO Partner title is confirmed by the appropriate certificate. An entity which cooperates with the WSE under the WSE IPO Partner program may receive special program logo which can be used in their canvassing activities. The entity may also receive an opportunity to include in letters and documents the information on their WSE-authorized partner status.
The Warsaw Stock Exchange will support its Partners by providing any necessary consultation related to implementation of the Collaboration Agreement, ensuring availability of its promotional publications and offering an opportunity to participate in events organized by the WSE with the aim of attracting companies interested in bringing their financial instruments to WSE-run markets.
