Cyber safety rules
Reminder of the basic rules regarding the safety of using computers and mobile devices.
- Use only legal software from a known and trusted source.
- Regularly update your operating system and applications used. In particular, Internet browsers, flash plugins, e-mail clients, and pdf file browsers should be updated. This means installing periodically published patches, correcting know vulnerabilities and errors of both the operating system and applications.
- For day to day work, in particular activities related to placing orders, you must not use privileged accounts (Administrator, root).
- Do not disable security mechanisms.
- On operating systems that require it, it is necessary to install and regularly update antivirus software.
- Be careful when downloading files from the Internet or opening attachments.
- It is not allowed to install unknown software received via email or obtained from unknown or untrusted sources.
- During placing order, avoid using unknown devices (public computers made available in hotels, libraries, etc.).
- During placing order, avoid connections via unverified networks (public WiFi).
- Never connect unknown data carriers to your computer.
- Do not allow third parties to manipulate the mobile device or software installation.
For password-protected systems, the rules for creating and using passwords must be strictly followed:
- The password must be complex and difficult to guess. A password have to meet the following rules:
- composed of at least 9 characters,
- contain at least one digit,
- contain uppercase and lowercase letters,
- contain at least one special character,
- It is unacceptable to use the same password for different systems.
- Passwords are not allowed to be saved.
- The password should be changed regularly.
- The password cannot be shared with anyone.
