Twenty-nine Polish capital market leaders have been awarded and recognised at the 2025 Stock Market Review Gala, an event that symbolically closed a record-breaking year for the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the entire Polish capital market.
The 2025 Stock Market Review Gala was held on 14 January 2026 at the Warsaw Stock Exchange, the heart of the Polish capital market. The event provided an opportunity to present awards and distinctions and offered a space for discussions about the future of the capital market in Poland. The Gala brought together key representatives of the financial community, including Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domański and Minister of State Assets Wojciech Balczun, as well as representatives of brokerage houses, banks, issuers, and GPW’s partners. During the event, 29 awards and special mentions were presented to entities which made a major contribution to the development of the Polish capital market in the past year.
“The year 2025 exceeded our wildest expectations. We were hoping for a breakthrough and we witnessed the biggest bull market of the century. The WIG index crossed the symbolic mark of 100,000 points in April and set a record for gains in the 21st century at the last trading session of the month. The historic index performance, huge turnover, and deals which attracted billions of zlotys of new capital to the Warsaw Stock Exchange are owed to the efforts of all capital market participants because we set new records together. Key reforms are ahead, including the launch of Personal Investment Accounts (OKI). The market is keeping its fingers crossed for the smooth implementation of OKIs as we believe that they will drive further market development and, above all, ensure that Poles profit from the success of the Polish economy,” said Tomasz Bardziłowski, President of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In the record-breaking year 2025, GPW presented two special awards for market capitalisation exceeding PLN 100 billion. The awards went to PKO Bank Polski and Orlen, confirming their position among the largest and most valuable companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
