PRESS RELEASE

  • GPW, in partnership with investment banks, holds the first series of virtual meetings with investors in Asia and the Middle East
  • The Exchange continues initiatives promoting Polish issuers in key global financial hubs

GPW, in partnership with investment banks, has initiated a series of meetings for companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange with investors from the biggest financial hubs in Asia and Middle East. It is GPW’s first initiative aiming to attract global investors to the Polish financial market, via the use of specific technology. In April and May, pre-selected companies included within the WIG20 and mWIG40 indices will take part in calls and virtual meetings with investors from Singapore, Japan and the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi). Virtual meetings with investors in Hong Kong and China are planned for the second half of 2020.

“We have seen in the past weeks that virtual meetings are a very useful business tool. We have decided that the roadshow scheduled this year in the key financial hubs of Asia and the Middle East will take place by means of state-of-the-art technology. Participation in the virtual meetings is a great opportunity for Warsaw Stock Exchange issuers to reach out to shareholders and new investors. I am very glad that we are continuing with initiatives of key importance to the issuers and the entire market at this time of uncertainty on the global markets,” said Marek Dietl, President of the GPW Management Board.
