Investor Activity on GPW in June 2025

The Warsaw Stock Exchange has closed the first six months of the year with record investor activity. GPW Main Market equity turnover totalled PLN 46.3 billion in June 2025, up 90.3% year on year. Average daily GPW equity turnover increased by 78.2% year on year to record-high PLN 2.16 billion. The broad market index WIG closed June at a record-high 104,691.71 points and gained close to 32% year to date.

Equity Market

June 2025 brought a continued stock rally on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Total GPW Main Market equity turnover reached PLN 46.3 billion, up 90.3% year on year. EOB equity turnover increased by 78.2% year on year to PLN 43.2 billion. Average daily EOB equity turnover was PLN 2.16 billion, up 78.2% year on year. The WIG index closed June at 104,691.71 points, gaining 31.6% year to date.

Total NewConnect equity turnover value was PLN 309.0 million in June 2025, up 221.4% year on year. NewConnect EOB equity turnover value increased by 198.2% year on year to PLN 280.5 million.

GlobalConnect equity turnover stood at PLN 10.2 million in June 2025 vs. PLN 0.6 million in June 2024.

Derivatives Market

Total derivatives turnover volume was 1.2 million instruments in June 2025, down 36.9% year on year. Index futures turnover dropped 28.1% year on year to 640,200 futures. Currency futures turnover decreased by 59.7% year on year to 325,800 futures. In contrast, single-stock futures turnover rose to 188,000 futures, up 40.4% year on year.

Structured Product and ETF Market

Structured product turnover value reached PLN 230.9 million in June 2025, up 10.6% year on year. Total ETF and ETC turnover value stood at PLN 189.9 million, up 67.9% year on year.

Debt Market

The value of non-Treasury bond issues listed on Catalyst reached PLN 135.3 billion at the end of June 2025 vs. PLN 116.4 billion at the end of June 2024. Catalyst EOB bond turnover value increased by 1.7% year on year to PLN 578.6 million.

Total Treasury BondSpot Poland bond turnover value was PLN 107.0 billion in June 2025, up 27.7% compared to PLN 83.8 billion reported in June 2024.

Capitalisation of GPW Listed Companies

The capitalisation of the 365 domestic companies listed on the GPW Main Market amounted to PLN 951.0 billion (EUR 224.2 billion) in June 2025. The total capitalisation of the 408 domestic and foreign companies listed on the GPW Main Market reached PLN 2,040.7 billion (EUR 481.1 billion).

New Listings

Two companies were newly listed on the GPW Main Market in June 2025. Arlen, a manufacturer and distributor of specialised protective clothing, was floated on the exchange. Its share price gained 10% at the opening and reached PLN 38.50. It is the 407th issuer listed the GPW Main Market and the second new listing this year.

The other company is QNA Technology, which develops quantum dot technology. The company was newly listed with an opening price of PLN 36.70. This was the first transfer from NewConnect in 2025. QNA Technology is the 408th company listed on the main market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

Interbud-Lublin, listed on the GPW Main Market since 2010, was newly listed on Catalyst with a bond issue worth PLN 11.65 million. This was the round 20th listing of debt instruments on Catalyst in 2025.

Two new issuers joined NewConnect in June 2025: the gaming company President Studio, and Green Lanes, which develops materials for the furniture and timber industry.
