Investor Activity on GPW in July 2025
GPW Main Market equity turnover totalled PLN 41.0 billion in July 2025, up 71.6% year on year. Average daily GPW equity turnover increased to PLN 1.74 billion, up 69.2% year on year. The broad market index WIG gained 35.6% year to date.

Equity Market
July 2025 brought a continued rise in equity turnover on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Total GPW Main Market equity turnover was PLN 41.0 billion, up 71.6% year on year. The turnover reached PLN 293.6 billion in January-July 2025, up 47.4% year on year. EOB equity turnover increased by 69.2% year on year to PLN 40.1 billion in July 2025. Average daily EOB equity turnover was PLN 1.74 billion, up 69.2% year on year. The WIG index closed July at 108,896.66 points, setting a new all-time high. WIG gained 35.6% year to date.
NewConnect turnover was growing month after month, as well, and reached PLN 219.5 million in July 2025, up 23.3% year on year. NewConnect EOB equity turnover value increased by 23.7% year on year to PLN 219.4 million.
GlobalConnect equity turnover stood at PLN 15.6 million in July 2025 vs. PLN 2.8 million in July 2024, a nearly six-fold increase year on year.
Derivatives Market
Total derivatives turnover volume was 0.7 million instruments in July 2025, down 18.9% year on year. Index futures turnover dropped 29.4% year on year to 386,000 futures. Currency futures turnover increased by 4.4% year on year to 150,800 futures. Single-stock futures turnover was 99,500 futures, up 9.4% year on year.
Structured Product and ETF Market
Total ETF and ETC turnover value increased by a high 65.9% year in year and stood at PLN 199.4 million in July 2025. ETF and ETC turnover crossed the mark of PLN 1.65 billion in January-July 2025, up 103.1% year on year. Structured product turnover value dropped 10.5% year on year to PLN 241.7 million in July 2025.
Debt Market
The value of non-Treasury bond issues listed on Catalyst increased to PLN 142.4 billion at the end of July 2025 vs. PLN 118.2 billion at the end of July 2024. Catalyst EOB bond turnover value increased to PLN 1,736.1 million i.e. 92.0% year on year.
Total Treasury BondSpot Poland bond turnover value was PLN 136.0 billion in July 2025, up 75.4% compared to PLN 77.5 billion reported in July 2024.
Capitalisation of GPW Listed Companies
The capitalisation of the 361 domestic companies listed on the GPW Main Market amounted to PLN 976.7 billion (EUR 228.9 billion) in July 2025. The total capitalisation of the 404 domestic and foreign companies listed on the GPW Main Market reached PLN 2,175.4 billion (EUR 509.9 billion).
New Listings
Żabka Group was newly listed with its first bond issue on Catalyst in July 2025. Since 15 July 2025, ZAB0530 series debt instruments worth PLN 1 billion have been available in trading, listed in the Warsaw Sustainable Segment. This is the 21st new listing on the Catalyst bond market in 2025 and the 156th issuer listed on Catalyst.
TGE
On the commodity market, the total volume of spot transactions in electricity amounted to 4.087 TWh and the total volume of forward transactions was 4.628 TWh in July 2025. This represents a decrease of 7.3% and 40.6%, respectively, year on year.
Turnover in property rights in certificates of origin (other than energy efficiency certificates i.e. “white certificates”) reached 1.091 TWh in July 2025, a decrease of 30.9% year on year. Turnover in property rights in energy efficiency certificates increased by 145.6% year on year, reaching 5,135 toe in July 2025.
Turnover in Guarantees of Origin for electricity generated from renewable energy sources stood at 4.589 TWh, a decrease of 0.1% year on year.
The volume of forward transactions in natural gas on TGE increased by 97.7% year on year, reaching 20.683 TWh in July 2025. The volume of spot transactions was 1.285 TWh, a decrease of 12.4% year on year.
