More than 23,000 students and teachers from all over Poland have put their investment skills to a test in the first stage of the 24th edition of the School Online Stock Exchange Game. After nine weeks of competitions, the best teams have been selected to advance to the next stage of the competition.

The first stage of the 24th edition of the School Online Stock Exchange Game opened on 17 November 2025 and lasted until 16 January 2026. During this period, secondary school students and senior primary school students, supported by their teachers, took on the role of stock market investors. With an initial capital of PLN 20,000, they made transactions in a virtual investment environment based on the current quotations from the Warsaw Stock Exchange. In total, nearly 320,000 transactions were made in this stage of the competition.

The top twelve of the 5,642 teams participating in the first stage of the School Online Stock Exchange Game qualified for the finals. The ranking of the teams depended on the performance of their virtual investments in shares and ETFs, as well as additional bonus points earned in the educational part of the project. The competition leader was the Brainroty team of Technical College No. 9 in Łódź, which achieved a return of +74.62%. The top three teams will receive cash prizes.

The nationwide educational competition “Invest Responsibly” was a new initiative accompanying the first stage of the School Online Stock Exchange Game. The goal was to prepare a mini educational campaign devoted to responsible investing and informed financial decision-making. The initiative attracted considerable interest, with 400 students from all over Poland participating, and the content and creativity of the projects was highly rated by the competition panel. Prizes were awarded to the top 10 teams in two age categories, with a total prize pool of PLN 25,000. First place in the primary school category went to the project “#NieDajSięNabrać – Z głową w finansach” (Don't be fooled – Be smart with your finances), prepared by Aleksandra Mężyk and Anna Michalik from the Wincenty Witos Primary School in Królowa Górna. In the secondary school category, the winner was the project “Pieniądze też mogą pracować” (Money can work too) by Konrad Kuśpik from the Stanisław Konarski Comprehensive Secondary School No. 1 in Oświęcim. The award ceremony and presentation of the winning projects took place on 22 December on the Trading Floor of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The project was financed by the Ministry of National Education.

The competition in the 24th edition of the School Online Stock Exchange Game continues. Participants are preparing for the second stage of the competition, which will take place from 2 to 27 March 2026. The best teams in each region will compete in play-offs scheduled for 13–14 April 2026.

The finals of the 24th edition of the School Online Stock Exchange Game will take place on 23 April 2026 live on the Trading Floor of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The event will bring together 26 teams: the top 12 teams from the first stage, 8 teams selected in the second stage, and 6 teams qualified in the regional play-offs. The finalists will compete to get the highest rate of return on investments in shares, ETFs, and futures listed on GPW. The winning team will receive the main prize of PLN 12,000. Additional prizes will go to the other finalists and their teachers.

The School Online Stock Exchange Game is the oldest educational competition in Poland, which teaches young people the principles of investing in the capital market hands-on, using virtual portfolios based on real stock exchange quotations. The competition is organised by the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the GPW Foundation. Its strategic partners are the Lesław A. Paga Foundation, Bank Ochrony Środowiska Brokerage House, Santander Bank Polska Brokerage Office, Santander Finanse, and KDPW (Central Securities Depository of Poland). The project is held under the honorary patronage of the Minister of National Education and the Ministry of Finance.
