A conference titled “Family foundation – how to grow wealth. Benefits, challenges and risks” was held at the Warsaw Stock Exchange Trading Floor. The event was organized by Bank Pekao S.A., with the Warsaw Stock Exchange acting as Strategic Partner and host. The meeting focused on the practical aspects of operating a family foundation as a succession planning tool and a vehicle for long-term capital management.

The conference gathered capital market experts and practitioners, representatives of financial institutions, and entrepreneurs, who discussed the potential use of family foundations in succession processes and efficient capital management. Key topics included tax considerations, legal risks, and investment opportunities in the capital market.

Representatives of the Warsaw Stock Exchange actively participated in the event. The conference was opened by Michał Kobza, Member of the GPW Management Board. In the substantive part, including a presentation and a panel discussion, Izabela Mikołajczyk, Director of the GPW Primary Market Department, took part. Speakers emphasized the role of the GPW as a platform enabling efficient capital allocation and long-term wealth creation, including in an intergenerational perspective.

An important theme of the conference was also the role of financial institutions and public markets in supporting investments carried out by family foundations. It was noted that the capital market constitutes a key component of an ecosystem that supports transparent asset management, investment diversification, and long-term risk mitigation. In this context, the importance of investor education and access to an organized financial market was highlighted.

The Strategic Partners of the event were the Warsaw Stock Exchange, Mariański Group, and the Polish Development Fund. The conference formed part of a broader discussion on the development of family foundations in Poland and their role within the capital market ecosystem, confirming the importance of market-based solutions in long-term private wealth management.
