2026-06-18 12:11:11

Eight new Exchange Traded Funds issued by HANetf have debuted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. All instruments have been admitted to trading on the Main Market of the WSE and are listed in Polish zloty. The products are available to investors via brokerage accounts, under rules analogous to equity trading. The debut of the new instruments has increased the number of ETF/ETN/ETC products listed on the WSE from 34 to 42.

The newly introduced ETFs provide investors with exposure to global investment themes, including energy transition, security and defence, technological innovation, as well as the reconstruction of Ukraine. The funds operate passively, tracking specific indices or baskets of assets and enabling diversified exposure to selected market segments.

- The simultaneous debut of as many as eight new HANetf ETFs on the WSE is a highly significant event for the development of the ETF segment in Poland. Such a substantial expansion of the product offering enhances portfolio diversification opportunities and gives investors access to global trends and directions they are actively seeking, within a consistent and transparent framework. With each new listing, the attractiveness of the Warsaw trading floor increases, along with its competitiveness relative to developed European markets – said Michał Kobza, Member of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

As part of the debut on the WSE Main Market, the following ETFs were listed:

  1. Future of European Defence Screened UCITS ETF – provides exposure to the performance of European-focused defence sector companies, including cyber defence,
  2. Making Europe Great Again UCITS ETF – offers exposure to companies considered key drivers of Europe’s economic growth,
  3. Gold Miners Screened UCITS ETF – provides exposure to companies generating revenues from gold mining,
  4. Defiance Ukraine Reconstruction UCITS ETF – offers exposure to companies considered key to Ukraine’s reconstruction, energy independence and defence,
  5. Sprott Uranium Miners UCITS ETF – provides exposure to companies engaged in uranium mining, exploration, development and production,
  6. Sprott Pure Play Copper Miners UCITS ETF – offers exposure to companies operating in the copper production sector,
  7. Alerian Midstream Energy Dividend UCITS ETF – provides exposure to segments of the energy infrastructure market for companies based in the United States and Canada,
  8. Drone UCITS ETF – offers exposure to companies engaged in the development, production or servicing of drones and unmanned aerial vehicles.

- These listings represent a major expansion of both the market and HANetf’s presence on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. By bringing 8 additional products to Polish investors, we are helping broaden access to strategies linked to some of the most important themes of the current era, including gold, commodities, European defence, energy security, strategic autonomy and Ukraine’s reconstruction. Ukraine reconstruction will be very pertinent to Polish investors due to the proximity of Poland to Ukraine. Poland sits at the centre of many of these themes. It is one of Europe’s fastest-growing major economies, a leading voice in European security, and a country at the forefront of the continent’s rearmament drive. As Polish investors look for tools to express these long-term trends, we believe ETFs and ETPs will play an increasingly important role. We also expect to bring more of our product range to the Polish market very soon – emphasised Hector McNeil, Co-founder and Co-CEO of HANetf.

The introduction of new ETFs is in line with the WSE’s consistent strategy to develop this segment and enhance its attractiveness for investors by building a modern and diversified product offering. The new instruments provide exposure to a broad spectrum of asset classes, from equities to commodities, within a transparent and easily accessible exchange-traded structure.

The thematic focus of the ETFs—centred on areas currently attracting strong investor interest—combined with their presence on multiple developed markets and their assets under management, confirms the growing demand for such solutions. At the same time, it creates a tangible opportunity to attract domestic investors to instruments listed on the WSE, contributing to the further expansion and competitiveness of the Exchange’s offering.
