Debut of MONNARI TRADE - a clothing company from Łódź
MONNARI TRADE made its debut on the main floor of the WSE during the 20 December 2006 session. A total of 2,500,000 rights to ordinary bearer shares, D series, were introduced to trading. Monnari Trade is the 33rd company to make its WSE debut this year. With this debut, 279 companies are currently quoted at the WSE. The sectoral classification of Monnari Trade is ‘Trade’.
In his speech welcoming the 33rd debutant on the Warsaw floor President Ludwik Sobolewski said Let me extend my welcome to a beautiful company. This is a beauty that can be seen with unarmed eye. I am certain that Monnari will add glamour to the WSE. This was President Sobolewski’s reference to the numerous female staff from Monnari who came to the ceremony. Then President mentioned an article in Financial Times, issued on the day of the debut, which described the dynamic growth of primary market at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Today, we do not really need to tell companies why it is a good idea to get listed at the WSE. Instead, we should ask why they are not here yet, Ludwik Sobolewski added.
The CEO of Monnari Trade, Marek Banasiak, greeted his staff who came to the ceremony. Many employees had the opportunity to attend because the company marked its debut by offering a day off to its staff.
Today is a big day for our Company and for me personally. I extend my thanks to the hundred people of Monnari who withstood the fast-paced work, often in a very nervous atmosphere. You have all contributed to Monnari’s growth and to its stock market debut today. However, this step is not the end. Rather, it is the beginning of a new journey. I am certain that our Company has excellent prospects ahead. The financial foundation is robust and the presence at the WSE will help the Company gain even more prestige. Our presence here will strengthen the Monnari brand and offer us a greater sense of security with easier access to capital. My dream is to establish a chain of boutiques in China. I believe that one day this dream will come true.
