Prairie Mining Limited Newly Listed On GPW

  • Prairie Mining Limited is the 53rd company listed on the Main Market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) and the 2nd foreign company newly listed on the market in 2015
  • It is the first Australian issuer on GPW

Shares of Prairie Mining Limited have been newly listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange today. The issuer is the 477th company listed on GPW’s Main Market and the 14th new listing on the market in 2015. The newly listed instruments are worth PLN 111.9 million.

Prairie Mining Limited is the first Australian company listed on GPW’s Main Market, the 53rd foreign company and the 2nd foreign new listing on the market in 2015. The Warsaw Stock Exchange markets including NewConnect list 64 foreign issuers.

The shares of Prairie Mining Limited are dual listed on two other exchanges: in Sydney (Australian Securities Exchange) and in London (London Stock Exchange).

“Prairie Mining Limited is yet another foreign company to be newly listed on GPW this year. The issuer is planning long-term investments in Poland. The new listing proves that the issuer understands the benefits of improved recognition among Polish investors. Prairie Mining Limited is a growing exploration and production company focused on the development of a project in the Lublin Coal Basin with an estimated coal resource of 722 Mt in four exploration concession blocks in south-eastern Poland. The total investment is estimated at US$ 684 million. The new mine will hire up to 2,000 employees and the project may help to create another 10,000 jobs.
