The Warsaw Stock Exchange has authorised UniCredit to operate as an entity trading in securities on its own account. The company has been granted the status of the 37th Exchange Member.

UniCredit is one of the largest financial institutions in Europe. The Group’s banks serve a total of 15 million customers in 18 countries, including Poland. The company is a direct member of Borsa Italiana and a remote member of Eurex, Börse Stuttgart, and ICE. On the Warsaw Stock Exchange, UniCredit will conduct brokerage activities by trading in securities on its own account. Transactions concluded by UniCredit will be cleared through the Polish branch of Société Générale.

UniCredit’s status as Exchange Member reflects growing interest of international financial institutions in the Polish capital market. Exchange Member status is subject to requirements set out in the GPW regulations, including trading security, transparency of operations, and due performance of obligations. These regulations are designed to ensure the stable functioning of the market, including top quality of transaction clearing and a high level of security.
