Bitcoin BETA ETF Newly Listed on GPW
The Bitcoin BETA ETF has been newly listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The ETF gives investors exposure to the cryptocurrency market in regulated trading on the stock exchange. The ETF uses an FX risk hedging strategy, which means that investors are less exposed to fluctuations of the exchange rate of the US dollar against the Polish zloty. There are now as many as sixteen ETFs listed on GPW.

The Bitcoin BETA ETF is the first ETF listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange to give investors exposure to cryptocurrencies. With the ETF’s listing, GPW joins the global trend of introducing investment products based on digital assets, which are already available on many of the world’s largest capital markets.
“GPW addresses investors’ expectations and follows the trend of diversifying asset classes available on the public market. Equally important, offering exposure to bitcoin through an ETF listed on GPW increases safety of trading as investors can participate in the cryptocurrency market using an instrument which is supervised, cleared, and subject to the transparency standards applicable to a regulated capital market,” said Michał Kobza, Member of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
The Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) approved the Bitcoin Beta ETF prospectus on 17 June 2025, granting AgioFunds TFI permission to set up an ETF investing in bitcoin futures and to issue series A and B investment certificates. Exposure to bitcoin is provided by futures listed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). FX risk is hedged using forward contracts, which mitigates the impact of changes in the USD/PLN exchange rate on investment performance. The ETF’s structure provides exposure to bitcoin on a regulated market, without having to purchase the asset directly. The market maker supporting the ETF’s liquidity is Dom Maklerski Banku Ochrony Środowiska S.A.
“Less than a month after our most recent new listing, we are introducing another ETF offering exposure to the world’s largest cryptocurrency in a regulated and effective manner. The ETF is our response to the growing demand from investors for new asset classes. I believe that the Bitcoin BETA ETF will meet market expectations and will be welcomed by investors,” said Kazimierz Szpak, CEO of BETA TFI SA and BETA ETF Asset Manager at AgioFunds TFI SA.
Sixteen ETFs are now listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, including ETFs which cover Polish indices (WIG20, mWIG40, sWIG80) and selected foreign indices (e.g. S&P500, Nasdaq-100, DAX), as well as sector ETFs, leveraged ETFs, and inverse ETFs.
The ETF segment has been growing rapidly in recent years in response to the needs of investors seeking broad market exposure as well as more specialised solutions. ETF turnover on the Warsaw Stock Exchange has reached PLN 1.9 billion year to date, an increase of 94.2% year on year.
