Registration Opens for 24th Edition of School Online Stock Exchange Game

The Warsaw Stock Exchange and the GPW Foundation invite teachers and students of secondary schools and the seventh and eighth grade of primary schools to take part in the 24th edition of the School Online Stock Exchange Game. Participants can register from 1 to 31 October 2025 at www.sigg.GPW.pl. Participation in the competition is free of charge.

The School Online Stock Exchange Game (SIGG) is a nationwide educational project where young people can learn about investing in a practical way and understand the principles of the capital market. The competition addresses the objectives of the school subject “Business and Management” and supports the development of students' economic and financial competences.

Participants compete on a special platform GPWtr@der, which mirrors the stock market. The competition consists of two stages: investment and education, which include training, quizzes, and educational films. The project participants are teams of students (from 2 to 4 each) supervised by a teacher. A new feature of this edition of SIGG is the possibility for home-schooled students to participate, also in teams and under the supervision of a teacher.

The competition offers attractive prizes with a total value of PLN 120,000, including PLN 12,000 for the winning team and funding of a trip to the GPW head office for the best classes. Teachers supervising school teams also receive prizes.

Parallel to the main competition are a competition for teachers as well as a new educational component: a competition for a mini-educational campaign entitled “Invest responsibly”, promoting informed financial decision-making. The prizes in this part total PLN 25,000.

Timeframe for the 24th edition of the School Online Stock Exchange Game:

  • 1–31 October 2025 – registration of participants
  • 13 October – 14 November 2025 – test game
  • 27 October – 14 November 2025 – access to the educational platform
  • 17 November 2025 – 16 January 2026 – SIGG stage 1
  • 2 – 27 March 2026 – SIGG stage 2
  • 13 – 17 April 2026 – regional play-offs
  • 23 April 2026 – SIGG finals and gala ceremony on the GPW Trading Floor

The competition is organised by the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the GPW Foundation. The strategic partners include the Lesław A. Paga Foundation, Bank Ochrony Środowiska Brokerage House, Santander Bank Polska Brokerage Office, Santander Finanse, and KDPW. The Minister of National Education and the Ministry of Finance are the honorary patrons of the project.
