Warsaw Stock Exchange Publishes Its First-Ever “ETF on the WSE Bulletin”
A new source of information on exchange-traded funds listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange is now available. The WSE has published the first edition of the “ETF on the WSE Bulletin”, a quarterly publication dedicated to ETF, ETC and ETN instruments listed on the WSE Main Market and the GlobalConnect market.
The history of ETFs on the WSE spans nearly 16 years. The first such instrument listed in Warsaw was an ETF tracking the WIG20 index, issued by Lyxor Asset Management, part of the Société Générale Group. It debuted on 22 September 2010, paving the way for the range of funds currently available on the Warsaw trading floor. Although this segment developed relatively slowly for many years, the past two years have brought truly dynamic growth in the number of products available. The scale and pace of change in this market prompted the Exchange, in cooperation with Atlas ETF, to prepare the inaugural edition of the “ETF on the WSE Bulletin.”
At the end of the second quarter of 2026, a total of 42 ETF, ETC and ETN instruments were listed on the WSE. Between April and the end of June 2026 alone, as many as 14 new products were introduced to the Warsaw market. The current offering includes solutions provided by both domestic issuers, such as Beta ETF and TFI PZU, and global providers, including Amundi, iShares (BlackRock), Vanguard, HANetf, Global X, and Virtune. The latest products listed on the WSE include thematic ETFs focused on the defence sector, uranium, copper and drones, as well as cryptocurrency-linked ETNs.
“ETFs on the WSE have never developed as rapidly as they are today. Growing investor interest confirms that passive investing is becoming one of the key growth drivers of the Polish capital market. In the first half of 2026, turnover in ETF, ETN and ETC instruments reached a record PLN 3.44 billion, exceeding the result recorded for the whole of 2025,” said Michał Kobza, Member of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
The record-breaking first half of the year was driven by strong investor activity, which remained elevated throughout the second quarter. In June, turnover in ETF, ETN and ETC instruments reached PLN 505.4 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 166.2%. Between April and June, total turnover in this segment amounted to approximately PLN 1.52 billion. During that period, Beta ETF mWIG40TR attracted the highest level of investor interest.
The latest edition of the “ETF on the WSE Bulletin” provides a comprehensive overview of the ETF, ETC and ETN market listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The publication compiles key information on all instruments available on the WSE, including details on issuers, listing dates, rates of return, liquidity, trading volumes, portfolio composition and price performance of individual funds.
The “ETF on the WSE Bulletin” joins the WSE’s library of educational publications, which includes the “IPO Handbook,” “Catalyst Bond Handbook,” “Catalyst Guide for Local Government Units,” and “Green Bond Handbook.” The publication will be released quarterly, providing investors with the most important information on ETF, ETC and ETN instruments listed on the WSE, while supporting investor education and enhancing knowledge of funds available on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
