WSE expands its investor offering with two new ETN products

Two additional investment products issued by HANetf have debuted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW). As a result, the issuer’s product range available on the Warsaw market has expanded to 12 instruments.

The new HANetf products track changes in the value of bitcoin. The first, ETNHAN2LBT, provides 2x leveraged long exposure, making it suitable for investors expecting the underlying asset to appreciate. The second, ETNHAN2SBT, offers 2x leveraged short exposure, enabling investors to take a position on a decline in the underlying asset’s value.

“The Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) continues to systematically expand and enhance its range of investment products listed in the ETF, ETC and ETN segment. This time, stock market investors gain access to two products providing leveraged and short exposure to bitcoin, enabling short-term investment strategies or position hedging. These instruments are specifically designed for active investors pursuing trading strategies. The debut of leveraged products issued by HANetf further broadens the range of instruments offering exposure to bitcoin available on GPW, allowing investors to implement a wider spectrum of investment strategies and trade in PLN,” said Michał Kobza, Member of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

Both products are listed in Polish zloty (PLN). Due to the use of leverage, their value generally changes at twice the rate of movements in the underlying asset, resulting in increased investment risk. The management fee for each product is 2% per annum. Raiffeisen Bank International AG acts as the market maker.

The assets of both products are segregated and 100% backed by the underlying asset, bitcoin, whose market capitalization is approximately USD 1.67 trillion. Given the volatility of this cryptoasset and the application of financial leverage, both ETNs are classified as higher-risk investment products.

“HANetf has always sought to bring investors access to the products we feel will serve them best and holding almost a third of all ETPs on the Warsaw Stock Exchange Main Market is a clear reflection of our commitment to this. HANetf has extensive experience in the inverse and leveraged ETP space, and we continue to build on this by providing the Polish market access to these products,” – said Hector McNeil, co-CEO and co-Founder of HANetf.

The launch of the new instruments brings HANetf’s offering on GPW to a total of 12 products. At the same time, the number of ETF, ETN and ETC products listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange has increased to 48.
