The company is the parent holding company of the ČEZ Group, one of the largest energy conglomerates in Central and Eastern Europe, operating through four segments. The Generation segment covers the production of electricity and heat from nuclear, hydro, wind, solar, coal, and biomass power plants, as well as combined cycle and combined heat and power units. The Distribution segment manages electricity distribution networks in the Czech Republic and selected regional markets. The Sales segment encompasses the trading and sale of electricity and heat, the supply and sale of natural gas, and the provision of comprehensive energy services to customers through ČEZ ESCO. The Mining segment is engaged in coal extraction. The company operates primarily in the Czech Republic and additionally in Germany, France, Slovakia, Hungary, and the Netherlands, where it holds capacity at an LNG terminal.
